The prestigious Salmagundi Club, in which some of the country’s most accomplished artists from the 19th to the 21st centuries have been elected members, is located in a landmark brownstone mansion at 47 Fifth Avenue in New York City’s Greenwich Village. It is one of the oldest art organizations in the United States.
Starting in 1871 and continuing to this day, the historic club’s Annual Members’ Exhibition is open to artist members in all media. This upper gallery exhibition is designed to showcase its members’ finest work. The Art Committee has selected Billings’s “Inlet” (above) for the 2016 exhibition, which runs from April 25 through May 16.
